FOR REST

THE ETHOS

Even the simplest of moments can move us towards the sacred, when we are living in rhythm with nature, connected to our truest selves.

Understanding the energy we radiate and the spaces we inhabit, as an outward reflection of our inner landscape, FOR REST invites spaciousness into all that we touch.

In this way, rest is reconsidered as a form of ritual, returning us to a harmonious state. Restoring calmness through simplicity and breathing consciousness into the unconscious rhythms of our day, FOR REST draws intentionality into each sensory act of self-care, to welcome a shift in our state of being.

Aromatherapy to connect us to the quietude of the forest. Plant-infused creations to gently transform our hair, as well as our thoughts. Rituals designed to restore internal and external balance, grounding us in the present moment. Products to enhance our well-being and cultivate spaces of tranquillity.

Created with a reverence for the healing properties of plants and the transformative power of rest, each FOR REST offering invokes a gentle remembering of these ancient sources of medicinal wisdom.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Ryo Ishimatsu

Inspired by his Japanese heritage and shaped by a lifetime of travel,
Ryo’s belief in the transformative powers of rest and ritual, inform the way he moves through the world, as well as the sacred spaces he creates.

With an understanding of beauty originally influenced
by the world of fashion and editorial, living and working in NYC and Tokyo, it wasn’t until Ryo returned to living within the rhythms of nature, finding a home in Australia’s Byron Bay, that he reconnected to his truest self. A serendipitous relocation that transformed his perspective, awakening him to the beauty that already resides within each of us.

Moving gracefully between the worlds of ritual and meditation, hair and beauty, tea ceremony and frequent immersion in nature, Ryo’s philosophies and lived experiences are harmoniously integrated
into everything he touches.
